We, as individuals, form strong bonds of love and affection with our pets. Hence, it is only fitting and appropriate that we may wish to adorn our walls, mantelpiece or display cabinets with beautiful, permanent memories of our pets. A laser etched granite pet portrait is ideal for such displays.

Pet Portrait Construction

Our laser etched black marble pet portraits have been designed for internal use. Marble has been chosen because the fine grain structure allows us to laser etch images with higher clarity and definition than granite. A marble portrait will not oxidize or easily deteriorate in internal conditions, thereby maintaining good looks almost forever.

The laser etching process allows us to etch a pet photo and inscription into the surface of the marble. Unfortunately, photos of very black animals with no highlights or contrast do not reproduce well on black marble. Pet portraits are nominally 10mm thick with square and rectangular shapes ranging from 125mm x 125mm to 300mm x 300mm.

There are seven different sizes to choose from.

Portrait stands, made of slotted aluminium round bar, are available to support your portrait for display.

Designing Your Pet Portrait

Each customer has the opportunity to personalize the design and layout of the laser etched marble images on their portrait using the exclusive pet portrait design section of our web site.

Within this very simple design system, the customer selects their preferred portrait shape and then drafts their personalized inscription and uploads it onto the portrait design where it is sized and positioned appropriately by the customer.

The customer may then upload their own image or images onto the portrait design and or upload one or more images/art from the thousands of images in the Forever Shining web site library. Once again, the customer sizes and positions the images to suit their design.

When the customer is happy with their portrait design they may purchase their portrait after saving their design by clicking on the “save” icon and following the prompts at the shopping cart

The customer may determine the price of their design at any stage during the design process by clicking the “Check Price” icon on the design screen.

Ordering Your Design

When you have finished your design, you may save the design to our server. You will be asked whether you wish to upload some extra images and whether you wish to email your quotation to friends and relatives.

You may then purchase your design from our store. Full instructions are given about the ordering process.

Remembrance
