Laser etching is a combination of specialized laser technology and the latest graphic software. Our artists use graphic software to program the laser.

With near photographic quality the laser can etch an image and any design directly into the surface by actually burning into the substrate.

The finished product is stunning, with near black and white photo quality.

We get good results on black granite with a facial image size from as small 100 mm x100mm square. We achieve absolutely stunning results up to the size of a building. The better the original photo or picture format the better the outcome. With text our results are excellent, ranging from as large as you like to as small as newsprint.

Unlike traditional inscription, which requires frequent repainting to highlight the text, the contrast between the laser-etched surface and the original material is such that it does not require painting. If you would like to paint your script the result is far superior to conventional methods as the laser permeates the surface which gives a far superior bonding between paint and granite.

We also have a highly specialized graphics team for SUB SURFACE LASER, which can put images 100mm below the surface of glass and crystal in 2 D and absolutely stunning 3D.

Black granite

Black Granite is considered to be the third/ fourth hardest natural material known to man, behind Diamonds, Rubies and Topas Selected both for beauty and strength, sculptors and architects have used granite for centuries. The polished surface of granite has an erosion factor of less than 0.125 of an inch per 1000 years outdoors. The estimated life of laser etchings is 500+ years outdoors. Extreme weathering may effect life expectancy, however there are easy to apply sealants that will enhance both durability and looks.

Laser etching on interior surfaces will last virtually forever .For exterior surfaces life expectancy is centuries, weather dependant.

Etching Stone

Etching stone is a special type of granite that is a little softer than black granite. It has a very fine grain structure. It has many of the attributes of granite but as it has a fine and even tone the laser results are superior. It is suitable for both interior and exterior applications.

Black Marble

Black marble gives superior laser image results. It will last forever in interior applications. However, it is a softer stone and will scratch quite easily. It is not recommended for exterior usage.

Can this work be done on site?

No all work is done at our facility and then shipped to your requested location.

Protective sealants.

There are protective sealants which help provide the best in anti-staining, humidity, grease and waterproofing protection, and U.V. degradation Sealants also provide skid resistance for outdoor flooring and commercial concerns.
