We manufacture and supply high quality, personalized stainless steel memorials. Our specially treated stainless steel memorials will keep their good looks and maintain a readable inscription for thousands of years. Furthermore, these materials allow a lot more design flexibility, colour and brightness than is currently available.
Our personalized memorials, made with passivated 316 marine grade stainless steel have been designed to overcome the problems experienced with current materials. Our headstones, plaques, slopers etc will not fall apart, crack or disintegrate with land movement or the passage of time as do current cemetery memorials. Consequently, they will not pose a structural safety hazard for cemeteries nor will they be a maintenance headache for families of the deceased. Our memorials are made with modern, stylish designs introducing more colour, glass and intricate designs than are currently available.
The personalized inscription is produced by laser cutting the letters and motifs through the face plate of the stainless steel. With the exception of small plaques, the face plate is 3 mm thick. The inscription is backed by glass of a colour nominated by the customer.
In the case of our reflective style memorials, the glass is backed by a reflective medium that allows incident light to be reflected back through the glass giving colour to the inscription, motifs etc. This assembly has a full backing plate of stainless steel. This quad-laminate assembly significantly enhances the vandal resistance of the inscription and is covered by Australian and International patents pending.
Plaques, slopers, reclining desks, and beveled blocks are reflective style memorials. Headstones can be either reflective style or light transmitting style.
In the case of our light transmitting headstones the glass is backed by another stainless steel plate that has an identical inscription to the face plate cut through it. When light passes through the inscription and glass backed motifs it gives an effect similar to that of stained glass without the fragile nature of stained glass.
This tri-laminate assembly significantly enhances the vandal resistance of the inscription and is covered by Australian and International patents pending.
Our composite, personalized headstones, made with passivated 316 marine grade stainless steel with a full inlay panel of laser etched granite have been designed to overcome the many problems experienced with current materials and yet maintain much of the appearance of traditional granite headstones. All of the inscription, images, art etc are laser etched into the full granite inlay panel.
Similar to our full stainless steel headstones, the stainless steel surround of our composite headstones will not fall apart, crack or disintegrate with land movement or the passage of time as do current cemetery headstones. Consequently, they will not pose a structural safety hazard for cemeteries nor will they be a maintenance headache for families of the deceased.
In the case of the light reflecting style of stainless steel surround the face of the surround is largely flush with the face of the granite and the granite inlay is fully supported on all edges by the stainless steel surround. Normally, the rear of the headstone is not fully enclosed with stainless steel.
In the case of the light transmitting style of stainless steel surround the sides are tapered and the top is polished. The leading edges of the tapered sides are also polished. The laser etched granite inlay is recessed in from the front and rear of the stainless steel surround and is fully supported on all edges by the stainless steel surround. The granite inlay is visible from the front and rear of the headstone.
